Drone Detection & Mitigation

Drone security is turning up in artist riders, insurance conversations, and municipal permit questions. If you don't have an answer yet, you'll need one.
Check

A Drone Over the Crowd

Stages, delay towers, and heavy RF from a live event make a festival site hostile to drones. They lose signal and they fall.
Check

A Furious Artist

An artist's manager in your compound mid-set, wanting to know who's flying over their audience and what you're doing about it.
Check

Unauthorized Broadcast

Someone filming a set they have no rights to, streamed before you know it exists.
Check

Nobody to Hold Responsible

Your team can see the drone. Without the operator's location, there's nothing to act on.

How It Works

Four Steps. Nothing for Your Team to Learn.
Icon 1

We Map Your Site

Before gates open, we set the zones that matter - main stage, VIP, compound, crowd - each with its own alert rules.
Icon 2

We Detect the Drone

If it's powered on nearby, it appears on our screen, usually before it takes off. Make, model, altitude, speed, exact position.
Icon 3

We Read Intent

Not every drone is a threat. The system scores each one on how it's behaving - speed, hovering, rate of climb, whether it's tracking toward a protected zone.
Icon 4

We Locate the Pilot

SMS, email, and dashboard, with the operator's position accurate to within a metre. Your security or local police know exactly where to go.

Why DroneBusters

We Used to Do This the Hard Way.
For years, we caught rogue operators by following a drone until it landed, or scanning the crowd for the one person staring down at a controller. We found six to eight of them that way. Every single one had already finished flying over your audience by the time we got there.

That's what this is for - to put your team next to the operator while the drone is still climbing.

No hardware to buy: Owning this equipment runs around $85,000, for a system you'd use four days a year. We bring or deliver the unit, we run it, then we take it home.

We've worked event like yours: Two decades in festivals between our owners, and two decades in IT and network infrastructure. Our expertise is unmatched.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take drones down?

No, and that's deliberate. Jamming or disabling an aircraft carries legal exposure you don't want on your event. We give your team and local police what they need to handle it properly.

What do we need to provide?

Power and somewhere to put the unit. A seat in your command post and a radio helps. That's it.

Will it work at our site?

One unit covers up to 300 km² in open conditions, less in a dense downtown footprint. Beyond about 5 km of spread we'd recommend a second unit. Tell us where you are and we'll tell you straight.

Who runs it during the event?

We do. Setup takes 15 minutes and we monitor it live for the duration.

How far ahead should we book?

Earlier is better, especially for summer. But get in touch whenever.

Do you keep the data?

Detection records are retained at least 30 days and are yours if you need them for a police report or insurance claim.
